Personal Statement:
I was working as a Food microbiology technician at ALcontrol Laboratories, Sheffield and also an
experienced Microbiologist with one year working for Kodai Dairy Products Pvt. Ltd. I am articulate
with excellent skills in Microbiological tests and methods, I am confident in taking up tasks
independently as well as being an enthusiastic team member. My attendance, timekeeping and
attitude have always been excellent and as a willing learner I would be pleased to undertake any
suitable training if required.
Work Experience:
From 18/10/2010 – 09/02/2012 - Food Microbiology Technician:
ALcontrol Laboratories, Sheffield – United kingdom
Testing of food products. Worked under UKAS (ISO 17025) standard, duty includes Sample
preparation, Calibrating, Chopping, Pre-enrichment of samples, Plating, Pouring, Incubating and
Subbing. Skills developed working under pressure, friendly, quality management, handling of more
than 4000 samples per day.

Testing of final product of cheese and the raw materials. Using techniques such as

M.Sc Drug Design and Biomedical Science
Investigation into the Immunomodulatory Effects of Cannabinoids. The effects of cannabinoids on cell
lines was researched and analysed. This initially involved a significant amount of literature research,
before starting with the practical investigation. The key practical techniques were used - Luciferase
assay, MTT Assay, PCR, RT-PCR, Gel electrophoresis, Cell culture, Extraction and quantification of
DNA, RNA, and ELISA.
M.Sc Microbiology
Investigation into the Probiotic Studies on lactobacillus Spp. The Key practical techniques were used
- biochemical techniques, applied microbiology, genetic engineering, biotechnology, Immunology and
medical microbiology.
B.Sc Microbiology spl. Immunology
Investigation into the effect of resistance of chosen bacteria to selected heavy metals. The key
practical techniques were used - extraction, titration, spectrophotometer, Atomic absorption
Spectrophotometry, Anti microbial activity, etc,.
NON SCIENTIFIC WORK EXPERIENCE:
