CAREER OBJECTIVE:
Resourceful Mechanical Engineer wants to contribute strengths in

BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
I have over Twenty years of mechanical engineering experience that includes
fifteen years of Mechanical engineering design and installation, ten years
of Maintenance and Operations Facilities Engineering, ten years of Engineer
/ Project Manager, and eight years of Construction Administration, all
working through increasing levels of complexities and responsibilities. In
one of my most resent position as Maintenance Supervisor at the GM Tech
Center PPO Body and Paint Shops, I was responsible for plant modifications,
and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance to assure plant and
process reliability. Team leader for industrial projects interfacing
owner/client needs with fabricators and installers. Strengths are in
planning and executing cost effective projects by tracks progress of
projects against goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets. I was trained
in GMS as a group leader at the Warren Tech Center and I have a Lean Six
Sigma Certificate form Villanova University. Extremely comfortable in
working with others in functional areas of the organization, project
contractors, internal team members, external collaborators, customers and
suppliers. Experience in Maximo7 CMM, Auto Cad and Microstation computer
graphic programs. Also experience with Microsoft Office suite and many
other software applications. I have a history of strong interpersonal
skills interfacing with all department levels, skilled trades, and
professional staff.

Maintenance Supervisor / Mechanical Engineer - PPO
Duties:
. Primarily supervises and coordinates the mechanical-maintenance
related activities for the entire facility, and is responsible for
oversight of mechanical system design, development through testing
specifications and methods.
. Supervises GM-employed mechanic-related employees such as mechanics
and installers, but also may supervise skilled trades, hourly workers
for building and equipment maintenance.
. Interpret/analyze blueprints, job orders, etc. and decipher required
tasks to complete projects.
. Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection,
application and adoption of engineering techniques, procedures, and
criteria.
. Determine priority of tasks considering client communications,

Accomplishments:
. Slashed overdue PM's, And CM's from 550 to 0 in a three-month period
while maintaining current PM completion schedules for GM's pre-
production Body and Paint Shops. This was accomplished by reallocating
manpower, assigning completion dates, and empowering team leaders with
decision-making authority. Planning sessions were held where
comparable PM's were coupled where by reducing total completion times.
Daily line-up meetings were enhanced to include manpower sharing and
pre task planning minimizing time performing tasks and improving
safety.

Accomplishments:
. Developed and implemented a year program replacing TEMA's old CMMS
preventative maintenance system with MAXIMO 5.2. The new preventative
maintenance system provided means of tracking PM's and improved
efficiency 30% by managing PM Job plans and frequency of equipment
preventative maintenance.
. Plant Engineer (Mechanical Specialist), and Maintenance Manager for
Toyota Technical Center (TTC). During this time assisted in the
construction, start-up and capital equipment purchased and
installation for Toyota's major research and develop facility in York
Township, Michigan. Monitored equipment installation for impact on
future maintenance improving accessibility of equipment and
reliability of maintenance performance.
. Improved Corrective Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance by 23%
using the CMMS to track and manage equipment maintenance. By using the
informational database in MAXIMO it was projected that the life cycle
of cruel equipment and systems would be extended 17% deceasing total
maintenance cost and provide budgeting data for capital Maintenance
expenditures.

storage by developing and implementing product Kanban Supermarket and
material handling 'tugger train' for production parts and components.
Kanban Supermarket reduced forklifts replacing them with 'tugger
trains' improving safety in plant aisle ways. With implementation of
the Kanban Supermarket, just-in-time manufacturing concept was moved
further into the manufacturing process.
