My responsibility consists of safety and security, gang de-escalation, property recovery, peer mediation, team building, training tasks, community service, providing volunteer service, promotion, after- school activities, nature adventures, and tutoring.
My accomplishments are
Student Advisory, volunteering, student & administration communications, started in 2004, to decrease student walk- outs, complaints, and student on student service. Each member would have to serve all four years of there time at there school, Student are responsible for meeting with the principal twice a month and assist with any concern or volunteer needs for the campus. These students may volunteer to help tutor, mentor, and plan pep rally, motivate other to be successful, train other on leadership and report all acts of nuisance to security or the principal.
“AACC” African American Cultural Club, activated in 2005 due to lack of black history studies and events, is focused on educating and learning more about the culture, history, and their destination, also to volunteer in the community, visit college or trade academics and to celebrate the Sankofa while improving grades to further and/or better their education. Pride and leadership will have been the focus of this organization.
“LACC” Latin American Cultural Club, founded in 2007 for a lack of immigration services and no Latin clubs, will aim to educate and teach more about the culture, history, and their destination, to volunteer in the community, and to educate them on immigration services. Learn cultural dance, food and educate other on there ethnicities. Student will be required to attend three colleges or trade schools. Student will set up a future plan for success.
The Asian Club- the oldest club- has been around since the eighties, and I took responsibility of it when they lost their sponsor. They’re centered on educating and teaching more about the culture, the history and their destination, and to volunteer in the community. Student also will visit three or more colleges. Perform a cultural dance and speak on behalf of there culture.
Woods and Waters is a reward club instituted in 2005; however, it is an old existing club. This club is for teens without fathers, peer mediation, grade improvement. As well as being open to all other clubs, team building, and communication. Their adventures is to have fun through fishing, camping out, swimming, volunteering, playing sports, trail walking, horse- back riding, learning how to survive in the woods, and relaxing. They will learn how to grow food, service their community, and help the environment.
The Power Team, commenced in 2006, is about physical fitness, training, and learning about other sports. This club consists of training athletes to be better athletes by way of improving grades, volunteering while conditioning their bodies. Students will also be responsible for there team member and leadership training.
Pep Squad has been an active club since 2005 to increase school spirit, and motivation at the hand of song, dance, and entertainment. Students learn teamwork, helping other and participate in community events.
