As a systems analyst it was my responsibility to maintain and enhance the
Glovia ERP application operating in a Red Hat Linux environment using
Oracle 10g and Cognos Impromptu reporting modules. Daily duties included
problem solving, database administration tasks, DB error checking and
troubleshooting on Oracle Database installations, tuning, maintenance,
backup and recovery using PL/SQL and PRO IV Superlayer. I played a major
role in the data conversion and migration from the Linux environment to a
Windows Server 2003 using Oracle databases, Cognos reporting, and Glovia
ERP software. I performed system enhancements and product error fixes on
GLOVIA which involved development using PL/SQL and PROIV SuperLayer
programming.

application. The application was primarily an online system that provided

center. The mainframe environ-ment was a UNISYS A16 Clearpath machine using
COBOL programs accessing a DMSII database. The position also required
proficient knowledge of CANDE, WFL, ICD and DMSII Inquiry.
Dominick's / Safeway, Northlake, IL 2/1999 - 6/1999

This assignment was a data center relocation. Dominick's environment was an
IBM mainframe, a MVS operating system, COBOL application programs and CICS
online processing. The file structures were VSAM and sequential datasets as
well as a DB2 relational database. Purpose of project was to move all
existing applications that were currently running on the Dominick's machine
(Northlake, IL) to the Safeway machine (Salt Lake City, Utah). The Safeway
machine was basically the same setup (i.e. IBM mainframe, MVS/COBL/DB2).
Both of the systems interfaced with other platforms such as the Unix
platform, AS400 and PC platforms. As part of the project, we executed
infrastructure tests as well as ran parallel production tests.

As a member of the new release conversion team, I was responsible for the
development processes to populate DB2 table for upcoming releases. This
often times required joint efforts of the DBA group, business areas and
data architects. A variety of means to access these tables including COBOL
II programs, SPUFI/SQL, QMF and Prism Data Warehousing was required. This
process was used in five major releases.

Senior Applications Analyst
As a senior member of the acquisitions team, my role was to take all
pertinent data from a recently acquired office products company, and
install it on the BCOP corporate system; a large IBM system using CICS
online processing and IMS DB DL/1 programming and DB2 databases. This data
typically included an acquisitions customer, inventory, contracts and
accounts receivable.
