GCSS-MC is a customized version of the Oracle (11i) eBusiness Suites and is
being implemented throughout USMC Camps and is the tool used to track and
manage Inventory, Supply Chain Management and Planning activities. GCSS-MC
is the technology centerpiece of Logistics modernization for the Marines.
The curriculum includes Inventory/Supply, Maintenance, Finance, Service,
Planner, Approver, Reports, System Administration and Commander's Class.
The courses reside on the Mobile Training Suites (MTSs) that contain the
GCSS-MC curriculum, including pre-installed Oracle User Productivity Kits
(UPKs) which are the programs set up to deliver the training. Classes are
set up and programmed for a maximum of 20 students.
