Organogenesis is the world leading regenerative medicine company with the unique skill set to take complex, living
therapies from research and development through manufacturing, to successful commercialization to reach patients
today.
Participated in medical device internship/preceptorship while working closely alongside senior Tissue
Regeneration Specialist in efforts to gain knowledge of living, human cell-based treatment options and
research in today’s medical field.
Documented patient’s clinical outcomes from the first bio-engineered cell based product to receive FDA
approval called Apligraf which remains the only commercially available bi-layered bio-engineered skin.
Observed procedures performed in the wound center setting related to venous disease, trauma, diabetes, burns
and other chronic wound conditions.
Reviewed clinical research papers on product’s effectiveness in treating venous leg and diabetic foot ulcers.
Supported product promotion activities to include coordination of display materials, convention planning
duties and presentation preparations.
Attended and participated in the Navigating the Wound Care Seas II: Destination Diabetes Conference
hosted by The Regional Medical Center Advanced Wound Healing & Hyberbaric Center.
Learned the importance of evidence based wound care standards in the clinical setting while applying the
knowledge to real world practice.
Woundchek Point of Care Study
Systagenix (Dr. Thomas Serena)

Inform patients of the Woundchek study criteria, a novel diagnostic testing device to determine protease
levels in wounds. Assist with enrollment and data collection with supervision of the principal investigator.
Document patients’ clinical history including their current wound status, previous medical history, and current
medical condition.
Preform inter-rater reliability testing on Woundchek device.
VOLUNTEER WORK
American Cancer Society 2004 - 2013
Participated in Relay for Life walk to help cancer research while participating with The Regional Medical
Center and St. Andrews Methodist Church teams.
Pumpkin Patch 2003 - 2008
The pumpkin patch is an event held by the St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Assisted Youth organize
and run the event while helping them earn credit towards group expenses and future activities.
