Responsible for deck integrity (crew and equipment), navigation, and communications. Well versed in engine room maintenance, repair, and procedures. Experience with gen-set, main engine operations. Experience in transferring fuel, water, hydraulic fluids in relation to vessel stability. Responsible for shopping for provisions for voyages up to 2 – 3 months and preparations for meals for up to 6 – 8 persons. Worked under some of the most adverse weather conditions in the world on the Bering Sea . Proven ability as a consummate team player on deck. 20 years experience with vessel safety procedures including: man overboard protocol, lifeboat systems, survival suit donning and usage, etc. Experienced in proper vessel mooring techniques.
