Michigan National Guard Operation Onward Liberty
Michigan Officer in Charge
• Perform duties as prescribed to ensure all pre mobilization
training and medical readiness to be completed for the operation onward liberty unit.
• Conduct briefings at Michigan National Guard Joint Forces
Headquarters to report on unit's readiness status to a general officer.
• Coordination between JFHQ mobilization section, PTAE
trainers, current unit in Liberia to ensure all tasks necessary for a successful deployment to
Liberia were completed on time.
• In addition coordinated with unit to establish chain of
command and additional duties to include training officer and NCO, risk assessment NCO, and
administration duties.
• Conducted training assessment of Armed forces of Liberia
training staff to ensure yearly training plans were being created, training was planned with
subordinate unites, and mentored the training officer in his prescribed duties.

Barnes Aerospace Division Lansing, MI
Engineering Manager
• Responsible for all engineering activities to include all
engineering processes and procedures for Barnes Aerospace Lansing which is a manufacturer of
titanium super plastic and hot form detail and subassembly producer of Aerospace parts.
• Led a team of 6 project engineers, 3 CAD designers, 2 CNC
programmers, 1 tooling supervisor and 6 tool and die makers.
• Responsible for all New Product Introduction, include all
quoting activities that help secure over a 20% increase of new sales for 2013, including a
completely new product line for the Division.
• Reorganized the Engineering department to create a
manufacturing engineering role for the division which was introduced to all other aerospace
divisions. This position greatly improved operations support and continuous improvements
activities to include reducing scrap by over 50%. Implemented standard work processes.
• An instrumental lead contributor to the current New Product
Introduction procedure based on PMI methodology currently implemented at all aerospace
divisions within Barnes which uses a tollgate process to report project status.
• Selected to participate in the Future Leaders Program for
Barnes Group Inc., which Barnes was recently accredited as one of the 40 best companies for
leaders according to "Chief Executive's 2012 40 Best Companies for Leaders".
