Mr. Ghadban was responsible for the site planning and analysis, functional and design specifications and implementation of a database driven web site application for the Anti-Terrorism bill at DOJ. Designed, developed and implemented the data architecture model, the physical database and the SQL/T-SQL stored procedures. The database backup and restore guidelines were created and tested. Using Data Transformation Services, designed, developed and implemented the automated data migration required by the Verity search engine. This multi-tiered system stored the data in an MS SQL Server 7.0 RDBMS, data access and report generation was provided through MS-Access RDBMS and an ASP driven web site. CSS and includes were used to conform to Treasury Board GOL guidelines for common look and feel. Troubleshot the database and application, analyzed code and defects and provided optimization for database and database management system. Provided ongoing support during implementation phases of the site. Database objects were scripted and applied as part of the migration from development to production. Developed all technical documentation such as functional and design specifications, code documentation including providing input to the initial application project plan and technical framework, version control is by way of file-folders and change request/enhancements use e-mail public folders. Mr. Ghadban was responsible for completing the RALLI system and transforming it from a series of static web pages to a multi-tiered, RDBMS driven web site with dynamic content accessed from an MS SQL server 7.0 database. Provided input to the project plan as functional design specifications evolved. Conducted extensive data analysis of the existing site, including the facilitation of several JAD sessions. Rewrote the administrative front-end, made changes to the existing DB structure (created the data model) and added new stored procedures to support these business requirements. Wrote the system and user manuals. Provided management with proof-of-concept during the redesign and was responsible for reviewing detailed test plans for all phases of the application. CCHSA was incorporated in 1958 to set standards for Canadian Health Services organizations and assess their compliance against these standards. CCHSA is a non-profit organization and a registered charity. Mr. Ghadban was responsible for the project panning, scheduling and costing.

Mr. Ghadban assessed the impact of variations to the project and provided written and oral reports on his findings and recommendations. Mr. Ghadban provided guidance and direction to the developers with regards to managing client expectation, software design best practices, anomaly / problem tracking and management. Mr. Ghadban provided assistance with the RDBMS database normalization and structure. This three-tiered, object oriented application utilized VB 6.0. The team comprised Mr. Ghadban, three developers, up to nine testers and various support staff. The Automated Petroleum Procurement System at PWGSC was to be migrated to new department standards. Mr. Ghadban's role was to analyze system functionality, conduct business analysis, create a data model, provide proof of concept and create a project plan. Problem analysis and resolution strategies were inclusive of this study which included reviewing the existing Oracle RDBMS database, interviewing end users, analysis of the data dictionary and interviewing users and system managers of related systems.

This provided a migration strategy to the new platform. The new platform was to be a three-tiered web based system using Visual Basic and ASP, with stored procedures and triggers handling the data. MS project was utilized to enforce task allocation and to track critical path items. Mr. Ghadban provided his client with template screen designs for the re-development project, and utilized UML notations and guidelines for creating system process diagrams, a workflow diagram and the entity relationship diagram as well as the proposed work breakdown plan. Mr. Ghadban developed the normalized database model for the new system and created sample VB forms and ASP designs.

Mr. Ghadban developed, tested and implemented a browser independent database driven web application that allowed users to build business cases. The system prompted the user for various parts of the business case while providing examples of the current section being worked on. Upon completion, the system presented the user with a text version of their business case that they could then import into a word processor for final formatting.

Mr. Ghadban was responsible for conducting initial analysis of the existing application, reviewing detailed test plans for all phases of applications built under this project, which were performed under manual testing procedures. He contributed further to the project plan by designing and presenting revised functional specifications. Mr. Ghadban was responsible for data analysis, data transformation, data architecture and relational database design.

As Project Manager with EXOCOM, Mr. Ghadban performed managerial duties such as employee tracking, employee career planning and conducted prospective employee interviews. As well, Mr. Ghadban participated in Open Houses and Career Fairs. Mr. Ghadban led the Client/Server group and provided direction and mentoring to junior and intermediate consultants.

Mr. Ghadban was also responsible for cost estimations of projects that included the breakdown of work into tasks. These tasks then became the basis for the project plan. Mr. Ghadban was responsible for data analysis, data transformation, data architecture and relational database design for various projects.
