Chief Financial Officer (2010 - present) for White Marlin E&P, LLC, an E&P startup, with responsibility for its organization, administration, finance and development of a comprehensive financial model for the evaluation of oil & gas properties and presentations to New York and Houston based private equity firms as well as other finance providers. Evaluated over 40 acquisition opportunities in Texas, Louisiana and the GOM before suspending operations concurrently with the decline in oil & gas prices in 2Q 2012.

Controller, Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer (1980 - 2010) for Vanguard Petroleum Corporation, a privately held energy firm trading natural gas liquids (NGLs) and producing oil & gas. At its peak, trading operations exceeded 90,000 barrels per day with revenues in excess of $400 million annually. Investments in oil & gas properties consisted of non-operated working and royalty interests in over 300 onshore wells in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Louisiana.

Accomplishments

* Negotiated, closed and implemented a borrowing base loan agreement in the low eight figures for working capital loans and letters of credit with a regional bank following termination of a long-term relationship with a money center bank.

* Negotiated, closed and implemented a series of borrowing base loan agreements in the low to mid eight figures with a money center bank for working capital loans and letters of credit during the difficult post-Enron period and the period of rapidly increasing energy prices following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

* Designed and implemented a system to administer and account for over-the- counter financial instruments including NGL swaps and options.

* Managed the implementation of integrated accounting software (OGSYS) for oil & gas drilling and production activities.

* Managed the spin-off of the oil & gas production subsidiary and S election.

* Managed the formation of family limited partnerships as part of comprehensive estate plans for high net-worth individuals.

* Designed and implemented an integrated distribution, accounting and cash management system for trading operations.
