Brief History of early Duke Power career-began as a back fill person (most new engineers and technical people began on a utility or surveyor crew) to be able to get in the door at Dukeaaprogressed in two months to a Technical role in Industrial Engineering performing studies with an Engineer at Catawba Nuclear Station in Rock Hill, SC. Was promoted to Process Control Supervisor and transferred to Oconee Nuclear Station where I lead a Process and Document Control Group (including welding documentation in accordance with ASME code as many welds were NF type welds requiring much documentation.) My next position was Business Improvement Group Supervisor where I learned the Malcolm Baldridge process of continuous improvement among other leaders of that movement for that time plus lead a group of consultants in that area that facilitated projects throughout the site. I then moved to a consulting position myself after a major downsizing at Duke Power as described below.
