HUMAN RESOURCES
Performed the full range of Human Resource Generalist activities for large employee
populations, including, EEO/AAP, Management Training and Development, Salary/Benefit
Administration, Recruitment, Problem/Conflict Counseling and Resolution. Created and
managed a Safety Department. Revamped a Workers Compensation Department, implementing a
self-insured plan, resulting in a claims decrease of 29% and a savings of $700,000
annually.
Developed and implemented a management/employee involvement program which increased
morale, productivity and profitability while reducing sick time and injury claims.
Lead team which evaluated/investigated the possibility of consolidating a number of
operations into a centralized facility. Formulated and presented a plan of action which
was implemented, resulting in significant costs reductions, increased sales of $1.1
million annually, a reduced work force and the elimination of three labor unions.
Completed the re-organization with a reduction in the management staff without loss in
productivity realizing $650,000 in annual savings.

LABOR RELATIONS
As Corporate Director of Employee Relations for Dollar Rent-A-Car I organized and managed
ten successful campaigns to prevent union organizing and de-certified three previously
unionized locations. Net savings to the company $2.8 million annually.
While handling labor relations for Greyhound Food Management, I acted as chief
spokesperson for 67 labor agreement. De-certified five unionized locations. Handled all
grievances and arbitrations.
As a consultant for the American Red Cross, Los Angeles Blood Center I negotiated new
labor agreements with 3 different unions resulting in savings in excess of $1.5 million
annually. Handled all grievances and arbitrations. Outsourced one department, resulting in
$500,000 in savings annually.
