OBJECTIVE
Key member of a dynamic software engineering team involving the creation of innovative
solutions for challenging applications.
SUMMARY
Development of software in C++, C and Ada. Object Oriented Programming Principles. Design
and
development of multithreaded Windows NT
applications using MFC. Design and development of software to communicate via LAN.
Porting,
adapting and bug fixing of Native and
Embedded Compilation Systems and Tools.
EXPERIENCE
Design and Development
Development of a Windows NT application to provide testing support for JPL's TES
equipment. This application interacted with the
device drivers on the embedded target boards that will be part of the TESmission. I also
coordinated the development team in
producing new software releases.
Designed and developed a GPS message translation software on Windows NT using MFC and
Visual C++. It translated messages
between the GPS Reference Station and an existing software enabling seamless integration
of the latest model of GPS Reference Station
without modifying the legacy software. Multithreading and thread synchronization
techniques were used to meet the soft real-time
timing requirements. Thread-safe classes were developed using Object Oriented Principles,
enabling code reuse.
Designed a multithreaded Windows NT application using MFC and Object Oriented Design
Principles. It received data from multiple
serial ports, processed the data and communicated with another application via LAN. An
optional GUI is also presented to control and
debug the application.
Designed and developed software in Ada to replay military training exercises. It
retrieved
stored events of these exercises from a
relational database using SQL queries and replayed them at the original timing intervals
by putting messages on the LAN for graphical
simulation by another software.
Designed and developed a 3-D image processing application package in C. This project
involved using optimized algorithms for 3-D
filtering, thresholding, etc., for faster processing.
Porting and adapting of Ada Compilation System and Tools
Porting of Ada Compiler and Tools from SPARC/Solaris x MIPS to VAX/VMS x MIPS platform.
Adaptation of linker and driver of Ada
Compiler to produce uniquely formatted load modules.
Product Support of Native and Embedded Ada Compilation Systems and Tools
Fixing compiler bugs and problem solving on the following platforms:
