Senior Project Manager / IT Manager

I consistently achieved aggressive business and project goals while ensuring customer satisfaction. By employing my leadership and analytical skills, I applied the numerous customer relationship, communication, cost, time, quality, and HR management components of project management, as the basis for successful project leadership.

I offer a strong proven skillset that is applicable in any enterprise software application environment. This would include both a senior leadership role within an IT or consulting organization.

MSBIT, Walsh College, Troy, MI. BA in English, Oakland University, Auburn Hills, MI. I hold a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute and a CMII certification from the Institute of Change Management.

Additionally, I am a regular presenter at the SPLM Americas Consulting Conference on business consulting and advanced project management topics.

Selected Accomplishments

Recovered a failing project. Enterprise wide software project in cost and schedule overrun. Worked with the customer executive management to establish shared expectations on the project scope. Led a scheduling effort and established the new project baseline. Implemented a governance and reporting model to ensure cost and schedule control. Reported earned value management data weekly to the CIO. The successful system deployment resulted in $3M of add-on services revenue.

Established complete program tracking and control. Global enterprise software project with a severe scope and release control problem. Led the design and implementation of a CMII based change control system that enforced the proper administration of system changes. Provided the foundation for better project team collaboration through which project priorities were more visible. This PMIS (Project Management Information System) allowed for improved decision support resulting in a business strategy that made the best use of the company`s resources.

Led a large global software project to a successful implementation. Global enterprise software project with large virtual project team. Led the various teams (onshore & offshore) on this project from design through deployment. Managed the project using our delivery methodology which encompasses processes and procedures of the nine PMI knowledge areas. Kept this multi-year project on schedule and budget by executing to very good communication and governance plans. Ensured that the customer`s expectations were managed properly by establishing realistic project goals as well as realistic technical expectations of the software.

Received the 2011 & 2012 Excellence in Project Implementation award for exceptional project performance.

Received the 2012 Project of the Year Award for delivering on time and within budget.
