I have an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.
Presently work for Altegra Health part time doing HCC coding but prefer OP/IP. I am also currently working for Amphion Solutions part time handling OP, and I worked for the years 2010-2012 at E.J. Maxx Billing Consultants. I did remote medical coding for ED/ IP, OP, utilizing ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS. I was efficient at coding all medical cases.
While working as a Dental Hygienist for 13 years I also did dental billing and coding for 5 years, utilizing ADA CDT codes.
As a Medical Coder and Dental Hygienist, I worked as a team member. I had to be analytical in reviewing medical records, access precancerous screenings and x-rays in order to accurately record periodontal levels of disease. The fact that I was well organized resulted in patients receiving the best suited treatment for each individual and the doctor properly getting reimbursed for his services.
