Martin Engineering, Neponset, Illinois 1979 Present: A 3rd generation family business that solves problems in the handling of bulk solid materials. Product Engineer, Conveyor Products Division Manager, General Manager, Vice President and President. CEO from 1998 to 2005. Currently semi-retired as Chief Technology Officer and a Director.

Johns-Manville Corp.1974 1979: Maintenance engineer for the Waukegan Illinois roofing, pipe and gasket operation. Division Engineer at the world headquarters in Denver Colorado and Plant Engineer at the Fort Worth Texas roofing and paper mill.

Midwest Pipe Covering Antioch, Illinois 1972 1974: Manager of a division that manufactured plastic and cellular glass foam pipe and vessel insulation.

DeBacker Construction Davenport, Iowa 1971-1972: Residential carpenter. Constructed new homes and remolded older homes

Martin Engineering: A $100 million marketer and manufacturer of bulk material handling components. Attended all board meetings from 1987 to 2005 as a guest. Named a Director in 2005. Construction Experience:

One of my grandfathers was a rigging foreman at US Steel and taught me at an early age how to use hand and power tools. My other grandfather was a mason and painter who taught me how to do concrete work and paint. I have worked as a carpenter doing rough and finish work. I have built several houses. I have done mechanical and carpentry projects in several countries around the world. I have built custom cabinets and all kinds of woodworking projects from small to major constructions. I have had experience pouring concrete slabs and retaining walls. I have experience building retaining walls with interlocking blocks. I have laid interlocking pavers for several patios. I have owned several rental properties since 1990 and do all maintenance and repair including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, roofing and painting. I have been the engineer and project manager for several large industrial buildings at Johns Manville and Martin Engineering totaling over 300,000 square feet. I can weld and cut. I have built catwalks, boat docks and many other projects fabricated from metal. I can operate lathes, mills, shears, saws and presses in a machine shop. I have fabricated, installed and tested R&D prototypes of mechanical products in industrial environments in many countries of the world.
