with the Network Management Team of a telecommunications company, US
West. Primary goal is to effectively manage a multi-platform LAN/WAN
which consists of over 5,000 nodes. HP OpenView and Seagate
NerveCenter Pro are used as the primary network management tools.
Operating platforms include HP-UX, FreeBSD, Solaris 2.5x, NT 3.51, and
NT 4.0. TCP/IP and SNMP protocols are used for network programming.
Software development platforms include C, Java, HTML, PERL, C Shell,
and Korn Shell. So far, the following projects have been completed: -
Setup and maintainence of Network Management Team's web server for
on-line network status. - Integration of HP OpenView with the web
server for dynamic updates. - Development of programs to automate
Network Status Updates via. pagers, email, and webpage. - Setup and
configuration of Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server. - Setup and
configuration of Microsoft Internet Information Server for the
corporate intranet. - Management of Microsoft NT Domain and User
Accounts. - Development of webpages using Java to automatically update

Extensible Agents, and their integration with HP OpenView. -
