One of eight founding members who profitably brought the Investment Manager Outsourcing service to market. This business is tailored to satisfy the demand of buy-side, hedge fund and SMA retail asset managers seeking to outsource core and non-core functions. The directive was to define, design, develop, price, test and implement a global operating model across multiple regional offices located in New York, Columbus, London, Dublin, Singapore, Warsaw and the Middle East. The specific responsibilities of this role encompass significant involvement, oversight and management of the entire project life-cycle, including: completion of RFPs/RFIs, sales presentations, onsite due diligence visits, identification and mitigation of high-risk processes, creation of BRDs, 3rd party vendor selection and integration, identification of staffing and budget requirements, staff recruitment and hiring, internal and external SIT, UAT and aaEsmokeaaa testing, client implementation and onboarding, senior steering committee meetings, daily QA client management meetings, driving results of the overall client experience via service levels and satisfaction ratings, participation in all internal business and external client audits and provision of subject matter expertise and industry best practices to clients.

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

aa Defined and implemented the operating structure under which a staff of twenty-eight middle-office professionals were led to consistently deliver high-caliber service. Within this framework, this team was able to string together 26 consecutive months without loss or write-off due to Citi staff error while supporting 12 U.S. domiciled investment manager clients that generated more than $30BN of transactional volume per week encompassing high-risk securities and sensitive global markets.

aa Designed and instituted the post-execution service model comprising all pre and post settlement functions including trade capture, validation, enrichment, confirmation, affirmation, matching, lifecycle mismatch resolution, settlement, failed trade follow-up, buy-ins and compensation claims. Provided after hours back-up support to more than 20 global investment managers located within the other regions.

aa Recipient of the 2009 & 2011 Chairmanaaas Club Collaboration and Innovation Award. This high-profile award recognized the strategic vision, development and implementation in providing a seamless, single point of entry to buy-side and hedge fund managers in conjoining multiple books of business servicing institutional, SMA retail and hedge fund components.

Analyzed and monitored pre and post execution equity trading and settlement processes on behalf of portfolio managers for both active and passive investment vehicles. Provided the day-to-day, departmental operations oversight of the Omnibus DTC Participant unit and the 36 Dedicated (Special Processing) Participants group encompassing book-entry "versus payment" trades and "free of payment" receives and delivers, SPOs, DWACs, Repos, Agent Loans and CMO Adjustments. Managed the Client Services Conversions Department that entailed the assurance of seamless transitions of all BNY institutional custodial asset in-flows and out-flows. Acted as the liaison among the various operations teams, senior management, DTC, NSCC, technology, counterparties and clients. Monitored the DTC debit cap intra-day liquidity position to ensure that all RVPs were adequately funded. Prepared daily liquidity analysis, trade volume statistics, aged client inquiries and firm exposure reports to senior management. Acted as operations Data Security Administrator and Digital Certificate Coordinator in enabling access to the NSCC's website and electronic reporting capabilities on behalf of the entire bank. aa Successfully managed domestic custody operations averaging 45,000 trades daily with an aggregate settlement value of approximately $80BN per day. Over the course of my tenure, trade volume increased by 58% while, simultaneously, headcount was reduced by 10% through the introduction of operational efficiencies.
