Provided analysis, design, implementation and enhancements for the Physician Linkage

Project in JAVA, C++, HTML and JavaScript. This 24x7 system translated legacy system data

and pushed the information (patient, lab results, radiology reports, pathology reports,

and insurance) out through the Intranet to participating Physicians. Created the on-line

user tutorial and documented change control procedures. Utilized C++, HTML, JavaScript and

UNIX Script to handle screen scraping and conversion to an HTML format.

Configured and implemented the web server security using Digital Certificates and web

server Certificates on a Netscape Enterprise web server. Performed debugging of the system

and applications, provided web server security, applications security and client security

under the strict guidelines required by government regulations.

Designed, developed and implemented an application for the Emergency Room tracking using

Visual Basic to store data in a MS Access database. This application shows the attending

Physician where the patient was located, the nurse responsible for that patient, and

medications given.

In addition, performed various UNIX Administration tasks such as back up and recovery,

upgrades to the operating system, software and applications. Created and carried out the

Disaster Recovery Plan. Over saw the operation of web servers within the department (two

RS6000, one as a web server and the other for applications). Played a key role in the

support for applications written in house by the department used by 12 hospitals, 72

clinics, over 1,000 Physicians and two labs (development and testing).
