Lollapalooza Beverage Operations Chicago, Illinois

Operations Manager for Beverage Ops

Loss Prevention, Code Compliance, Safety and Inventory Control for the beverage contractor of the annual music festival Lollapalooza. Created control systems for the management and distribution of all beverages consumed by over 270,000 guests at the 3 day event. System included 21 points of sales and utilized a staff of over 650. Established safety procedures including T.I.P.S certification of all staff. Directed staff in the assistance of evacuation and the return of guests from the festival grounds during a mandatory weather related evacuation. Our staff received many accolades from the festival organizers.

D3 Entertainment, a nightlife management company Chicago, Illinois

Researched market competitors and industry trends to identify potential new products and services. Created winning marketing programs and concepts to drive traffic to units. Leveraged media outlets to cover events. Formulated comprehensive business plans complete with clear and actionable sales goals and targets. CROBAR the flagship, which was already 9 years old, was taken over by D3 Entertainment in 2001. D3 redesigned the venue and ran it for another 10 years with average revenues of $5 million per year. Sold in 2011.

MAXBAR was acquired by D3 Entertainment in 2004 and was a failing local bar with numerous community issues, code violations, and a revoked liquor license. Through successful negations with the local community groups and license officials the liquor license was reinstated and the venue has been and is still going strong. Sold in 2011.

UBERSTEIN a German theme brew house was created by D3 Entertainment for a group of investors. Once it was designed built and running D3 turned over the the operation to the current owners.

THE VIBE was Chicago's premier urban nightclub managed and operated by D3 Entertainment. D3 chose not to renew its management contract after when it was time for renewal.

D3 EVENTS was a boutique event planning agency dedicated to building exclusive relations with each client and consistently exceeding expectations. Clients included Justin Timberlake, Hillary Clinton, Michael Jordan, Subaru, Las Vegas Convention Authority, Kia Motors, Kohler and many more. Events ranged from small intimate receptions to large scale 5,000 person extravaganzas.

Created owned and operated "The Big Nasty" a highly successful frat party style theme bar that sold "Silly String". This venues tag line was "we make Animal House look like a retirement home". This venue had a highly successful run and sold more "Silly String" than any other single retail outlet.
