Wrangler/Assistant Head Wrangler/ Head Wrangler

Guided guests on rides into the Rawah wilderness. Drove guest and horses to other trail-heads when necessary. Either gave the orientation/safety speech or did the demo. Assigned horses and saddles to guests when necessary. From 2000 to 2006 stayed through October to run ranch and pack for the previous ranch owner who leased it for the hunt season. Winters of 2004-5 through 2006-7 stayed and fed stock for the winter.

Bob Marshal Wilderness Ranch Sealy, MT

Packer/guide

Guided the spring bear hunts. Then packed his camp in and set it up. Packed in families and fishermen to that camp during the summer. Guided day rides out of the camp for fishing and sight seeing.

Wrangled guests on combination trips. Gave orientation/safety speech to new guests. Did trail rides at ranch and helped with the teem on the breakfast ride. Then packed guests to a base camp in the Rawah Wilderness. Where I guided them on remote back country rides. Then packed them home.

I packed for their 2 hunt camps and 3 or 4 drop camps through Oct. 1993-95 and again 1998 and 1999.

Assisted head wrangler, guided guests. Packed to spike camp and on Breakfast, lunch, and supper rides. Worked and doctored the teem of Belgian's. Trailered to Rifle, CO for 8 green broke horses we bought. Then trained those horses until they made it to the string.

Guided guest, shod 90 head of horses. Drove the teem of

Belgian's. Helped give Sunday orientation. Took over duties of the head wrangler on his days off. Drove the low boy stock truck (required a CDL) when needed.

Packed and guided from the Bow season through the rifle seasons. Led hunters and guides 36 miles to a remote hunt camp bordering Yellowstone. Packed in hunter's gear, food and supplies. Then packed out same plus whatever game they took down.
