Pro-E Design Engineer

OBJECTIVE: A challenging Product

design position offering continued career growth

opportunities.

Desired Job Type: Employee, Contract

Desired Status: Full-Time, Part-Time

Salary: 50,000 Per Year

Site Location: No Preference

Description of my 'perfect'

job:

My ideal job would be a Pro/E design position, which allows

me to use my

creativity and experience as a

designer, while allowing me to expand my realm of

knowledge.

TARGET LOCATIONS:

US-CT-Southeast/New London

US-CT-Hartford

US-CT-New Haven

US-RI-Providence

WORK STATUS US: I am authorized to work in this country

for any employer.

EXPERIENCE:

10/1999

- PresentGo/Dan Industries, New Haven/CT

Design Engineer

I work in the after-market automotive heat exchange industry.

I use Pro/E to

design components and assemblies for a/c condensers, charge

air coolers and

radiators. This involves "top down" assembly techniques.

This requires the

use of Pro/Sheet-metal, Pro/Piping, and Pro/Program. I also

create detailed

drawings of all components and assemblies for manufacturing

purposes.

All part, assembly and drawing files are submitted into the

database using

Pro/Intralink.

1/1999

- 10/1999Chromalloy Gas Turbine Orangeburg, NY

Advanced Repair Tool Design Engineer

I worked in the Advanced Repair Development Group, using Pro-E

to develop

and design tooling and gauging for the repair and/or machining

of turbine blades

and vanes. I used Pro Detail to generate highly detailed blueprints

for

manufacturing and inspection purposes.

I also used Pro/E to develop solid models of geometrically complicated

turbine

blades and vanes from point cloud data, imported using iges.

These models

included complex surfaces and contours.

7/1998

- 1/1999Chromalloy Gas Turbine

Tampa/FL

Product Development Engineer

I was responsible for setting up Pro-Engineer CAD software for

tool and fixture

design. This included working with Parametric Technology for

demonstrations of

the software to fellow engineers within the company.

I was also responsible for the dimensional integrity of the

cast product.

This included, but was not limited to, the design of injection

molds, fixtures, and

gauges. I was also responsible for blueprint interpretation

and, in some cases, reverse

engineering of the castings.

5/1997

- 2/1998Wyman Gordon Groton, CT

Project Engineer

Using customer design concepts and DOE, I concurrently developed

development

plans and manufacturing methods for large castings in the Aerospace

and Power

Generation field. This required extensive injection mold design.

This position

was dissolved due to downsizing.

1/1994

- 5/1997Dolphin Inc. Phoenix/AZ

Project Engineer

As a Project engineer, I was active in all Phases of casting

production.

The first phase was using Pro/E to convert a design concept

customer blueprint

into an actual model of the casting. Once the customer had signed

off on the .prt file, shrink values were added to the model.

I then converted

the .prt file into a .stl file for rapid prototyping. Using

stltrans and DTM

software I setup a single or multi part builds on the rapid

prototyping machine

(DTM SLS system).

The second phase was designing a gating scheme for the model.

This task was

also performed on Pro/E.

Once the gating scheme had been proven effective, it was time

for the third

phase which was using Pro/E to design injection molding for

mass production of

wax patterns.
