I am attaching this cover letter, to give you some more background information next to my curriculum.

I have been working for ABB for 12 years, in 4 different countries (The Netherlands, Switzerland, USA, Ireland), and 5 locations, in different positions. Mainly in the position (country CFO of ABB Ireland) prior to my current one I have been exposed to general management. My background is finance, and I have my Dutch CPA.

I am looking for a new challenging position with growth potential.

Background information on current role:

ABB acquired Kuhlman Electrical Company in August 2009, and I was asked in December to go and ensure a smooth transition into ABB. This includes making employees familiar with ABB systems and rules, and ensuring mainly forecasting and budgeting are in line with ABB. An important part of my role is also the ABB cost modelling. Due to the current economic circumstances, looking into different scenarios for the future, has become an important part of my role. I am reporting in this role to the current CFO of ABB Kuhlman, and have 1 employee (cost manager) reporting to me. Total revenues approximately MUSD 150, total number of employees approximately 400.

Background information on previous role:

ABB Ireland has 3 operational sites (Dublin:projects and sale of products to wholesalers; Waterford:manufacturing of transformers; Dundalk:manufacturing and R&D for equipment for Pulp and Paper industry), and 2 local offices (Cork and Lisburn). Total revenues approximately MEUR 160; Total number of employees: approximately 500

I was responsible for all aspects of financial control, reporting and compliance for ABB Ireland, for Information Systems and Technology, and for various other matters on a general management level.

Strategic experience:

Sale of loss making and non core unit (Cables business)

Involved in plan to restructure part of the business

Streamlining pension funds

Ensured ABB Ireland as fully compliant with all internal policies and relevant regulations

Improved relationships with ABB head office (Zurich) and Region
