Summary:

Employed in marine environment for approximately 10+ years. At Surf Side 3, Norwest marine, Landan marine as well as odyssey boat works. I prepared new boats for delivery. Serviced and maintained customers boats, rebuilt engines, repowered boats completely, installed and upgraded electronics.

Adjusted carburetor mixtures, electrical point settings and timed engines.

Repaired boats mechanical equipment such as engines, generators, blower's, bilge pumps, navigation lights.

Set starter locks and aligned and repaired steering and throttle controls.

Replaced parts such as carburetors, alternators, fuel pumps, distributor caps, ignition points, rotors and spark plugs, rebuilt, repaired sea pumps.

Sea trailed boats at various speeds and checked systems before delivery's.

Adjusted governors on generators to specified rpm's to achieve proper voltages.

Started engines and monitored performance for signs of malfunctioning such as smoke, excessive vibration, misfiring.

Inspected, repaired, adjusted propellers and propeller shafts.

Documented inspection, test results, work performed and to be performed.

Disassembled and inspected engines to identify operating, performance problems when required.

Ran Diagnostic tests using digital diagnostic scan tool or laptop computer as well as compression tests to determine engines performance problems.

Employed as machinist for the Perkin Elmer Corporation, Matco precision and cadcom inc. for 19+ years, I operated various equipment from lathes and milling machines to punch presses both manual and automated. I also did some prototype work, tool grinding, tool room work.

Selected, installed and adjusted alignment of drills, cutters, dies, guides and holding devices, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
