- Awarded Joint Service Commendation Medal for highly
significant contributions to the 100% success rate of CMCA during the
1996 Presidential campaign, including accelerating the commencement of
protective communication support for the US Secret Service five months
ahead of schedule.
- Awarded Joint Service Achievement Medal for development of a
new software program to track all personnel missions, and
equipment/service orders, providing accurate required reports in
minutes.
- Awarded Letters of Appreciation from the Secretary of Defense
for outstanding assistance with the 1995 Special Olympics World Games
and the 1996 Olympic Games, and the United States Secret Service for
the 1995 Republican National Convention, and the 1997 Presidential
Inauguration.

Recruit Company Commander
Responsible for implementing and conducting a training program which
will effect a recruit's smooth transition from civilian to Navy life;
foster patriotic behavior; affirm the dignity of the individual;
encourage high standards of personal responsibility, conduct, manners
and morals; create a desire for self-improvement and advancement;
provide the recruit with knowledge and skills which are basic to all
Naval personnel; develop pride in unit, the Navy and a desire to
observe appropriate naval customs and traditions; and provide the Navy
with physically fit personnel.
Major Accomplishments Include:
- Instructed four recruit companies of approximately 80 recruits
per company through 8.3 weeks of competitive training. One company
earned the Commanding Officer's Award for Exellence. All companies
achieved the high standards set for them, and graduated with three or
more individual awards earned within the companies.
- Performance evaluations all 4.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Awarded Navy Achievement Medal for extraordinary leadership,
thorough knowledge of training requirements, inspiring personal and
military example.
- As the Administrative Assistant during the complex
disestablishment of the command, wrote many software solutions to the
manning problems. These solutions materialized as a complete software
application for use by Naval Training Center Orlando to track all of
their manning needs via their command wide LAN.
