Freelance full-time translator of books and documents into Spanish and English, working in

Mexico and the United States.

Translator of 13 books from English into Spanish (see following list) and multiple other projects, ranging from end-

user guides, courses, documents and pamphlets, to dictionaries and college-level textbooks, on medicine and

medical services, electronics, mechanics, computer architecture, modeling languages, programming languages,

software, communications and Internet. Between 1995 and 1999, regular translator for the Prentice-Hall

Hispanoamericana and Addison-Wesley Iberoamericana publishing houses (now merged into Pearson Educaci n), in

Mexico.

translation, for conferences, Spanish-speaking medical patients and their care providers, business

Official interpreter and translator for the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition (a statewide

advocacy organization) since 2005, interpreting at all their internal and external training, conferences,

public events, meetings with state and federal legislators and authorities, and other similar activities,

including approximately 160 hours of simultaneous interpretation.

Bi-national US/Mexico Meeting on Livestock, a highly technical 2-day meeting covering issues like bovine

tuberculosis and tick-transmitted diseases.

Simultaneous interpreter for 3-day training at VF Imageware about clothing, fibers, fabrics, tailoring and

other aspects of the garment industry for business partners from Mexico.

Simultaneous and consecutive interpreter for 2- day Studio No. 7 event at Jack Daniels distillery,

interpreting for tours of the facility and tasting sessions (including technical presentations) with the master

distiller and the master tasters.
