CURRENT PROJECTS
Independent Contractor, 9/2011 – Current
Design and development of a business management system that consists a client-server architecture utilizing a SQL Server database to be networked via SOA using Web Services and Internet Information Systems (IIS). Currently completing the first phase of this effort (Windows Forms Application) and will be implementing the second phase (Web Based Application) thereafter. This system will be responsible for managing a multi-million dollar product sales business line to organize and maintain product line inventory, streamlined business logic, database structure for all sales and delivery related processes, tracking reports, and other features to position the organization to more effectively and efficiently manage their business processes.
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Software Engineer, 7/2006 – 7/2010 Northrop Grumman Corporation
Responsible for leading development and integration of several enhancements in spectrum management and communication simulation software for a Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCOSYSCOM) client under the CMMI development model. Led 3-10 people including Software Engineers and Testers. Implementation of GUI enhancements, documenting software functionality and creating military training module lessons representing thoroughness of functional and operational concepts. Improved simulation training systems regression testing processes to verify entity-based constructive simulation interoperability with industry standard mechanisms used by TENA, DIS, HLA federations; reorganized and established regression-testing processes for the USAF certified evaluation and regression testing tool. Collaborated with Software Engineers in the design and implementation of software solutions for an IRAD effort related to a common set of workflow management tools. Prepared estimates on project timelines, deliverables and budgets while documenting software architecture and functionality from initial design concepts for the Mobile Beam Wireless C-Band Terminal.
Adjunct Professor/Mathematics, 1/ 2004 – 5/2005 Valencia Community College
Facilitated classroom procedures, set culture standards for learning, inculcated discipline in students, enforced classroom discipline, monitored students' progress and overall academic development, and designed student assessment systems and methodologies. Instructed mathematics courses and designed course materials: syllabus, tests, assignments. All courses have been delivered using traditional classroom methods. Ensured compliance of college policy and procedure guidelines, documented all academic processes, and demonstrated teaching excellence.
Mathematics Tutor /Instructor, 4/2001 – 5/2003 Valencia Community College
Prepared instructional materials, supported in all classroom and activity responsibilities, and executed activities program as directed by teacher. Participated in all staff meetings and trainings as assigned by Program Director. Initiated classroom discipline and learning experiences. Counseled and help students solve difficult problems. Adhered to college facility setting guidelines and procedures. Supported students to develop and meet academic goals, helped students to prepare for tests, and recorded and reported student progress. Tutored college students in all math courses taught at the college.
Programming Tutor/Instructor, 7/1998 – 4/2001 Valencia Community College
Helped in preparation of providing object-oriented design operational concepts to students. Assisted students who wrote, translated and coded software programs and applications commensurate to their coursework or project assignments. Installed software products for end users as needed. Guided software programmers and teacher assistants. Supported computer lab operations and faculty and students to use computer software and hardware. Extended appropriate procedures, responded to queries and introduced students to use of computers and peripheral equipment. Managed laboratory software, test materials and hardware to ensure security. Extended assistance towards computers and printers’ support.
Quality Engineer, 8/1999 – 12/2000 Lockheed Martin Corporation
Analyzed quality performance utilizing statistical and analytical tools and methods. Ensured process control documents adhere with set requirements. Assisted with development of disposition process by involving in failure analyses and suggesting corrective actions as a subordinate of Material Review Board members. Verified conformance and productivity of quality engineering system through supplier audits and surveys. Reviewed product quality aspects like planning, manufacturing methods and process specifications. Interacted with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize documentation related to quality and inspection checks.
