Greenfield start of Avnet Computer Marketing Europe. Began operations in Munich and generically grew the German business. Interviewed, screened and analyzed a number of Computer Product Distributors in the UK, Germany, France and Italy.

Completed the purchase of a $100 Million Company in the UK. Started Greenfield businesses in Hungary, Switzerland and Austria. Worked closely with senior management of IBM, HP and Compaq to obtain franchises in each country we served. First year business exceeded $125 Million.

HALL-MARK COMPUTER PRODUCTS/ DIV OF AVNET, Tempe, AZ

Executive VP, then President, Hall-Mark Computer Products 1993 - 1997

Assumed North American Sales and Marketing Management of Hall-Mark Computer Products, a division of Avnet selling Enterprise level Computer Hardware and Software to qualified resellers of Digital and Hewlett Packard systems. Subsequently responsible for bringing the IBM product line to Hall-Mark. Today, IBM represents over $2 billion in sales for Avnet Technology Solutions. Responsible for all aspects of sales, marketing, sales operations and the P&L.

The business grew from an unprofitable $200 Million to over $800 Million dollars of highly profitable sales during my tenure. Hall-Mark was widely recognized as the standard for Enterprise value added distribution by the VAR and supplier community.
