PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Director, Enterprise Services Thermo Fisher Scientific March, 2011 to Present

Designed, launched and currently responsible for the Enterprise Services 500 person organization of the Unity Lab Services business unit of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Responsible for revenues in excess of $80MM annually. Goal in this role was to lead the turnaround of a relatively recently acquired business unit that was delivering an insurance based asset management model. Today, the Enterprise Services organization delivers customer specific solutions consisting of consulting, asset management, supply management and scientific support services.

Accomplishments:

* Recognized industry expert on outsourcing services, having participated in multiple -Ask The Expert- webinars for Lab Manager magazine.

Optimizing Laboratory Services - June, 2012

* Designated media representative and speaker for Unity Lab Services, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific at PittCon, March, 2012.

* Spent two years actively participating in the creation and launch of the premier services brand Unity Lab Services, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

* Developed and executed strategies for the exit from certain markets, while expanding capabilities in targeted markets

* Designed, deployed and facilitated the launch of advanced tools (e.g. SalesForce.com, SAP, etc.) for field operations, sales and sourcing teams that support field management`s ability to assess their current portfolio of clients, profitability and expected revenue growth.

Director, Managed Services Thermo Fisher Scientific August, 2006 to March, 2011

Managed Central and West regions of the United States for that part of Fisher Scientific that provides outsourced customer service and inventory management activities on-site at customer locations.

Accomplishments:

* Grew revenue from $1.4 million to $4.9 million. Accounts served grew from 28 to 50, with the number of employees increasing from 59 to over 130.

* Increased billable resources and added services with existing customers. Best demonstrated through the increase in the number of both bundled and billable resources at one customer site from 19 to over 60 employees over the last three years.

* Conceived of, and implemented the Managed Services solution within the Illinois Science + Technology Park in Skokie, Illinois. Approximately 10 park tenants utilize different aspects of services portfolio.

* Expanded the customer base from primarily a bundled resource model that serviced academic accounts; to a diverse portfolio of clients across each of the market segments served by Thermo Fisher Scientific: Academic, Industrial, Food & Agriculture, Government, Pharmaceutical and Biotech.

Responsibilities:

* Developed, priced and presented Managed Service solutions to customers. Consistently requested to present to all levels of internal corporate leadership and customer decision makers.

* Developed staffing solutions, created job descriptions, identified wage rates, negotiated salaries, conducted personnel performance appraisals, participated and lead development and disciplinary discussions and where necessary initiate staff reductions to include terminations.
