** Managed update of critical space launch ground hardware and software at Vandenberg AFB and Cape Canaveral rocket launching bases, including: data format, video, planning and scheduling, computer hardware and integration activities.

** Program manager at corporate level for entry-level and mid-career-level engineering leadership development programs for 5 years working with 50 managers and 1,000 participants. $10M budget. Managed curriculum, conducted 12 Leadership Development Conferences, and made adjustments to the programs which saved millions of dollars for the company. Received multiple awards.

** Managed quality reviews for special corporate programs and new business development (proposals), such as Magnetic Train Levitation technology with the Central Japan Railroad Company.

** Managed 18 airport hardware modifications for TSA personal screening areas in Alaska. Rx'd Award.

* Program manager of a $50 Million contract with Raytheon Systems Company.

** Managed activities of 50 people in 3 states. Managed weather instrumentation hardware and software design, data archive, software production, hardware procurement, installation, integration & testing and documentation development. Managed new business development.

* As founder of California Space Technologies & Applied Research, Inc. investigated use of composite materials in building space complex structures. Served as program manager for successful design and installation of power and fiber optics to Orbital's Taurus launch pad on Vandenberg AFB.

* Program manager with Moonspace Corporation for US Space Standards project, which was focused on technical space standards. Developed standards, and orchestrated a very successful U.S. Space Standards Conference attended by 12 government agencies and 24 commercial organizations.

* Served on a team of six to establish The California Spaceport. Lead writer on two winning DoD government grant proposals and a commercial proposal. Lead writer on teaming proposal with ITT.

* While in US Air Force, managed launch vehicle, satellite operations and launch with Titan Satellite Programs at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California for 17 satellite missions of the highest technical complexity and the highest national security. Managed processing of 9 satellites for launch.

** Sole recipient of certification in all three critical Air Force Titan launch crew positions: Booster Controller, Satellite Controller and Launch Controller.

** Specifically selected to serve as the Launch Manager/Program Manager for the successful one-of-a-kind Clementine Titan rocket launch to the Moon, a joint effort between NASA and the DoD, ensuring a faster, better, cheaper mission in an unparalleled 2-year program (vs. typical 7 -10 year program) from conception to on-time launch. Leadership of this unique mission earned a special Vandenberg Air Force Base 30th Space Wing Safety Award. (The Clementine Mission discovered water on the Moon; the spacecraft engineering model is in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in Washington DC.)

** Simultaneously, and successfully, managed the pre-construction for a new Titan IV space launch complex while preparing a Titan 34D rocket for launch - a very complicated task.

** Led a Titan launch failure recovery effort, and was awarded a medal for management, organizational skills, attention to detail and focus on personnel safety.

** Specifically chosen to support a Titan rocket failure board investigation team.

** Program manager for development and field test evaluation of the Peacekeeper Rail Garrison ICBM guidance software and hardware. Managed a diverse subcontractor and Air Force team. Managed 14 very successful rocket sled tests of guidance systems.

* For 4 years, voluntarily served as program manager for a hugely successful one-of-a-kind California Space Week event, an annual program that invited government officials, commercial space executives and the community to take part in a space conference, space activities and exhibits.

** Completed conference planning, organization, fundraising, marketing, public relations and community activities, such as: space exhibits, model rocket launching, NASA astronaut visits to schools, re-enactment of the first landing on the Moon with a full scale Lunar Excursion Module, 130 model rocket launch, airplane rides and children's contests.
