Biography
Diane Hecht, MA, is self-employed, the owner of The Joy Within and resides in Ithaca, New York. She offers many ways to improve the quality of lives through wellness workshops, meditation courses, stress management seminars, experiences of the mind and body connection, and Reiki.
Diane has been a certified meditation and stress management instructor since 1990, and has a private Reiki practice in Ithaca. Since 1998, she has been an instructor for Cornell University s Physical Education and Wellness departments, as well as offering wellness and meditation courses for other business and educational settings throughout the United States. As a former medical technologist, and having recently earned a Master of Arts Degree in Integrative Wellness, Diane combines her knowledge of western medicine with twenty years of studying and experiencing complementary and alternative modalities. Through a Cornell University grant in 2001, she published a meditation training book for incarcerated male adolescents.
