I worked 16 years with the State of Florida prior to retirement and gained a vast knowledge of development of communities from infrastructure to residential community design that has allowed me to excel in the private industry of community development. My family and I are in the process of moving to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas from Alabama and will be full time residents starting in January 2013. I desire to continue to work in the construction field and would like to be with a government of private community development organization. Senior Project Manager Multi Family Construction/Development

During my time at Park Lane Construction I have initiated several community developments that were driven by HUD 221D4 requirements working closely with the Department of Interior and Department of Community Affairs in Several States. We have completed over 12 Developments with well over 1200 single family homes and 5000 units of Multi Family dwellings over the past six years even in a poor economy. I have worked diligently developing a Tax Credit market within the company and have built successfully under this program.

Construction Manager with the State Of Florida Department of Corrections I was one of two state teams that was assembled by the Governor Bob Graham to meet the stringent federal guidelines that were court mandated. We put together a team of office staff, construction supervisory staff, Subcontractors and inmate construction labor that could go into any remote area and build from infrastructure to occupancy over the period of three to four years. These facilities contained roadway construction, sewer plant, water plant, water, sewer and storm utilities, education facilities, industrial manufacturing facilities, laundry facilities, food service facilities, office and administration facilities, residential housing, staff housing communities and dormitories.

In 1989 I served on the Governors special task force for Carribian Basin Action. I was sent to Belize Central America to work with a development team of Engineers and Constructors to solve the lack of infrastructure problem that was prohibiting Belize from providing adequate water supply and electrical supply. We were instrumental in helping the Belize Rural Development Director design a power grid with Hydro electric generating facilities and locations as well as water purification facilities to remove local river and stream water, purify it and then distribute it for personal consumption and farm usage.

In 1991 I was assigned to the State Special council to make suggestions to the National Code Council for NFPA chapter 13 updates. We attended the NFPA code National Convention and presented our suggestions from the State of Florida.

As Sr. Project Manager I have been responsible for developing new work, bidding work, day to day construction operations of each development under construction at any given time. I work with other team members to solve day to day construction issues. I develop working budgets and see that they are entered correctly into the timberline accounting system. I build construction schedules and assure that they are met or completed early, i coordinate with government agencies involved throughout the development process to ensure occupancy and budget limitations are met throughout the project. I ensure easy turn over of the properties to the property managers and coordinate any maintenance or warranty issues with them throughout the one year warranty period. I evaluate every project for Code compliance and assure the owners/ development partners that the project is in complete compliance with all federal, state and local laws.

As a consultant I assisted multiple Independent School Districts within the State of Texas in the design, compliance, cost comparison, architect selection, contractor selection, construction, occupancy, maintenance and the one year turn over for completion. I also assisted them with several self preform construction project in which they completed renovations and building projects using their maintenance staff.

I was assigned to various remote sites throughout the State of Florida to establish a prison community. Each of these facilities would contain roadway construction, electrical, communications, sewer, water and storm utility construction, water plant construction, sewer plant construction, educational facilities, industrial facilities, residential communities and penitentiary dormitories and facilities. I was responsible for heading up the hiring and supervision of all personnel as well as purchasing and subcontracting all needed materials and work force to complete the project. Worked very closely with the design team to evaluate Code Compliance and identify conflicts.
