Currently working as the Lotus Notes/Domino Administrator and Developer, which is part of
the IT Technical Services Group, with minimum work schedule of 40 hours a week, but must
be available on call 24 hours a day, 7-days a week. My position requires me to ensure
ongoing viability, integrity and optimization of the company s automated resources. Also,
it entitles me to keep abreast with complex and rapid advancements in Information
Technology especially on the following fields:
server technology
data connectivity
workgroup collaboration technology
PC technology
application development
I m based in the main office where I managed to do administration of 6 Domino servers (1
HO and 1 each for our 5 Plant sites) with over 500 users connected at the same time.
The main purpose of my position is to organize, manage, develop, maintain and secure
Lotus Notes Databases. The contribution it makes to the company is to provide a
centralized and organized mechanism and repository for LCSPI workgroup collaboration
coming from different functions and plant operations.
Being the Administrator I have the following objectives:
Lotus Notes design, setup, maintenance and administration
Lotus Notes recovery and security
Lotus Notes optimization\maximization
To achieved these objectives, certain responsibilities are being followed such as:
design and create Lotus Notes workgroup databases
design and develop Lotus Notes systems applications
perform workgroup database tuning and troubleshooting
secure Lotus Notes database following information policies at the Lotus Notes access
level
develop, test and implement an effective Lotus Notes rollback and recovery
optimize/maximize tool providing direction on how all features may be of support to
business units.
Additionally, the following network administrative were also assigned to me:
virus monitoring (attacks from workstations, servers and electronic mails)
internet access monitoring (which includes web sites filtering on adult contents,
militancy, racism, violence, downloads, etc.)
spam mail filtering
users server diskspace monitoring
file and domino server performance
daily data backup

Hired as the company s Systems Administrator for 1 year and 11 months with one
subordinate under my supervision. Below are brief overview of my tasks:
NETWORK ADMINISTRATION The company has three (3) servers: File, Exchange and
Communication PC. Windows NT 4.0 (soon to be upgraded to Windows 2000 Server) is the
running operating system of the servers wherein twenty-four (24) client workstations are
connected.
File Server This is our primary server where all client users has to log on to access
other programs. The objective in administering the LAN is to establish clear communication
between PCs at all times. Make sure that data are intact and available to users in
processing the daily transactions.
Exchange Server The secondary server where our electronic mails are being transmitted.
Having a leased line connection, we can send and receive hundred virus-free messages every
day from MK Headquarters and other subsidiaries world wide.
Communication PC This is the third server where our international and regional offices
use to access (via dial-up) the two (2) servers in troubleshooting when there are major
problems happening in MKP.
DATABASE MANAGEMENT Responsible for monitoring regular back-up of all files resides in
the primary and secondary servers. There are two(2) sets of five (5) tapes that alternates
back-up of files every week. Have to make sure that all files are properly and
successfully back-up every day. This is being maintained in case of data corruption due to
any unexpected system or electricity failure.
SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT Explores existing data files of the system program provided by MK
International. Using Access application (MK s approved programming tool), these files were
being used to create bridge programs to service other needs of our sales force and
management, as well. Here are some of the systems created through Access:
- Business Statistics Reporting Facility
- Independent Sales Director Update Facility
- Directors-In-Qualification Processing
- DPP (Deferred Payment Plan) Monitoring
- MK Recognition Program
- RWS Monitoring System
- Inventory Reporting System (IRS)
- Sales Commission Program (SCP)
Therefore, I handle the over-all responsibility of all matters pertaining to
computerization of all transactions within Mary Kay Philippines.

Network Administrator Set-up the Local Area Network (LAN) of the company running Windows
NT 4.0 as the operating system. Twenty-five client workstations were connected to the
server running Windows 95/98. Handles troubleshooting of the network from time to time due
to connection failure. Also, stored in the server are the system applications of FGU
Insurance Corporation, one of the owner of FCS, which are used in the daily operations of
the company. Makes sure that appropriate security are strictly implemented because any
failure will have great effect in the delivery and productivity of the company.
Systems Developer/Programmer Main function is to automate the identified manual work
processes that would maximize employee productivity in delivering a comprehensive service.
Also, the systems were developed to cater other requirements of FCS in its day to day
operations. Below are the applications that have been created and currently being used by
the company:
CIBS or Client Information Base System The system was developed to integrate all
transactions of marketing and support units of FCS for proper tracking of accounts which
are very useful in generating reports of monthly production and summary of accounts
receivables. Also, the system serves as a marketing tool for business analysis which are
used to come out with an effective marketing strategies.
Service Fee & Remittance Printing Facility The system are designed for Finance Group to
generate the summary lists of service fee and remittance due to various insurance
companies.
Premium Computation Printing Facility Used by the Marketing Group for faster generation
of insurance proposal per clients request.
FCS Timelog System Serves as the employees daily time in/out logbook. This would
generate the daily, weekly and monthly timesheet of each employee for proper monitoring of
attendance and punctuality.
Other Related Tasks
Troubleshooting of FGU s applications if necessary.
Handles monitoring of the quarterly check-up of PCs, printers and UPS to avoid machine
breakdown which may affect employees productivity time.
Regular data back-up in case of hard disk corruption.
Creates report presentations, manuals, brochures, flyers and the like using MS PowerPoint
2000.

(Concurrent Task) Started as an Assistant Supervisor of the Policy Services
Unit with 3 staff under my supervision. The unit handles issuance of FGU s insurance
policies of various lines, responsible for the tabulation of the monthly production of the
company from various insurance principals, and makes sure that the policy records are in
proper filing storage. After a review of my service record, I got promoted last November
1999.
