implemented and
deployed initial GPS distance measuring, cart tracking and
communication
product. Extensive development using Visual C++ on Windows NT. Duties
include
client interfacing, day-to-day management of technical team, product
requirements analysis, architectural system design (both hardware and
software)
of object-oriented system (OOD/OOP), and C++ code development for a
proprietary
spread spectrum radio LAN.

for GlobalSoft (former

GlobalSoft produced software engineering, source code control and
configuration
management products using OOD/OOP; handpicked team marked
Schlumberger's entry
into this market. This product line is central to Schlumberger's
cross-platform,
multi-national software development and maintenance organization
supporting over
2000 users. 3-tier client-server architecture using RDBMS (SQL Server,
Access)
via ODBC. The company and technology were sold to MKS of Canada in
1997. Duties
included day-to-day management of the technical team(s), technical
lead and
co-architect of the GlobalSoft suite of products. Development
responsibilities
included design of the TCP/IP client-server transaction protocol used
by the
product line and technical lead responsible for the design of the
GlobalSoft GUI
and day-to-day management of the GUI design team. Developed
object-oriented GUI

management
technologies within Schlumberger. All projects involved
object-oriented
programming and methodology, lightweight process (thread) programming,

modeling, multi-process communication (TCP/IP, RPC, remote messaging).
