Personal

While at Coca-Cola, I created a program for elementary schools to generate funds through vending machines. The program allowed schools to have vending machines in selected areas. The machines were off during school hours but at the end of the day the children were allowed to purchase snacks as they leave school. The premise was to stop the kids, mainly in the Inner-city schools, from gathering around the street venders. The street venders were not giving anything back to the schools, my program provided some quality products at a reasonable price, Coca-Cola gave a high commission and in return the kids were helping provide funds to assist the school by purchasing for the machines at the schools. The program worked very well.

I was invited to Cooperstown, New York (Birth place of Major League Baseball and home of Major League Baseball Hall of Fame) to be one of one hundred umpires from around the country and Canada to umpire a one hundred team Little League Baseball tournament. I have made eight trips in five years and the biggest honor given to me was the pleasure to call the championship game from behind the plate in 2009 (selected three times to umpire the Championship game). I was selected out of one hundred umpires from Canada and the United States.
