Teaching

January 2004 to present Program/Project Coordinator, University of North Texas, School of Library and Information Sciences -- administered a grant received from the Institute of Museum and Library Services for a distance independent PhD program.

May 2000 to present

Adjunct Instructor, University of North Texas, School of Library and Information Sciences - Teach classes related to the Internet, Web site development, information technology and information retrieval design, including:

Information Retrieval Design - examined the issues involved in creating an information retrieval system

Information Technology -- introduced students to the basics of computers and the Internet

Internet Applications, Services and Management -- introduced students to the technology, protocols and applications of the Internet and lead them to develop skills in utilizing the Internet and networked resources available via the Internet

Web Server Administration - explored management of web servers including Apache, Xitami and IIS

Web Site Development - examined the basics of web site development including HTML, and scripting languages (Perl, PHP and JavaScript

Fall 1991 to Fall 2003 Adjunct Instructor, Department of Church History, Southwestern

Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas -- Teach classes assigned

by Department Chairman, and substitute for Professors when they are unavailable

to meet a class.

Church and State -- examined the biblical and historical

relation between the Church and the state, as well as court cases which

have shaped this relation.

Church Heritage and Vision (Doctor of Ministry seminar)

-- examined how to incorporate history into the vision of ministry.

Southern Baptist Heritage -- examined both the history and theology of Southern Baptists.

Library

Aug. 1998 to present Archivist and Special Collections Librarian, Southwestern

Baptist Theological Seminary, Roberts Library, Fort Worth, Texas -- Supervise

the Archives and Special Collections Department. Began projects to convert

finding guides to HTML and to digitize selected parts of the collection

Aug. 1996 to Aug. 1998 Head of AV Department/Computer Systems Librarian,

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Roberts Library, Fort Worth,

Texas -- Supervise the AV Department, Library's Computer Learning Center

and maintain the automated library system (DRA's ATLAS system) for Roberts

Library and Bowld Music Library.

Jan. 1995 to July 1996 Head of Cataloging Department/Computer Systems

Librarian, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Roberts Library, Fort

Worth, Texas -- Supervise the Cataloging Department and maintain the automated

library system (DRA's ATLAS system) for Roberts Library and Bowld Music

Library.

Aug. 1991 to Jan. 1995 Head of Cataloging Department/Assistant Computer

Systems Librarian, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Roberts Library,

Fort Worth, Texas -- Supervised the Cataloging Department and assisted in

maintaining the automated library system (DRA's ATLAS system) for Roberts

Library and Bowld Music Library.

May 1984 to Aug. 1991 Catalog Librarian, Southwestern Baptist Theological

Seminary, Roberts Library, Fort Worth, Texas -- Performed functions of Catalog

Librarian including copy cataloging from OCLC, original cataloging, and

database maintenance. Coordinated activities of the Cataloging Department

with Computer Services. (Part-time from May 1984 to August 1987)

Oct. 1983 to Aug. 1984 Computer Specialist (part time), North Texas Library

System, Fort Worth, Texas -- Coordinated computer related activities of

member libraries, including instruction, maintenance and purchasing hardware

and software.

Sep. 1981 to Aug. 1983 Programmer/Analyst, University Library, UH-Clear

Lake, Houston, Texas -- Maintained the automated library system (VTLS).

Sep. 1977 to Aug. 1981 Computer Lab Assistant, Lee College, Baytown, Texas -- Assisted

students in operating computer programs in the Computer Lab. During the

Summers, perform operations duties for the Computer Center.
