Active as a volunteer and participant in, golf, choirs, basketball. Coached middle school basketball. Played basketball July 2005 in the World Masters Games. Moderator, speaker, teacher, participant and supporter at Northgate Mennonite Brethren Church in Dawson Creek since 1978.

Led and facilitated many contentious community meetings including environment-industry-community disputes; church conflict; commercial transport in the Peace Liard region, various Municipal community meetings and all candidates meetings.
