Law and Mediation Practice:
Senior litigator in Dawson Creek until 2004 in Plenert Higson Law Corporation. Practice included family, criminal, and from 1990 until 2004, with an emphasis on personal injury and insurance work across British Columbia and the Yukon.
Called to Bar of BC (1978) and Yukon (1993), now retired from Yukon bar.
Mediator since the mid 1980 s. Comprehensive mediation practice throughout northern British Columbia and northwestern Alberta since 2005, including family, child protection, workplace, commercial and insurance mediation, under the firm name of Peacebuilder Mediation (http://www.peacebuildermediation.com)

Community Involvement
Past chair, Dawson Creek and District Hospital $14m. construction project.
Active as a volunteer and participant in, golf, choirs, basketball. Coached middle school basketball. Played basketball July 2005 in the World Masters Games. Moderator, speaker, teacher, participant and supporter at Northgate Mennonite Brethren Church in Dawson Creek since 1978.
Led and facilitated many contentious community meetings including environment-industry-community disputes; church conflict; commercial transport in the Peace Liard region, various Municipal community meetings and all candidates meetings.
