PERSONAL STATEMENT
In middle school at the lunch table my friends made an intentional effort to witness to me about
Jesus Christ. Largely because of the influence of their word and lives, I gave my life to Christ at
the age of fourteen. Throughout high school I started to learn and grow more in my faith and
began actively teaching within the youth group at age sixteen in First Baptist Church in
Clarksville, Tennessee. During my college years participating in serving the church, campus
outreach, and studying abroad solidified a call to ministry. Upon my senior year at University of
Tennessee at Martin, the Lord led me to come to The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in
Louisville, Kentucky. Since arriving, my life has continued to be drawn to ministry to people of all
ages. The Lord also blessed me with a wonderful wife and ministry partner in Courtney.
Together we desire to make our lives count for the Gospel knowing that, No eye has seen, no
ear has heard, and no mind has conceived, what God has planned for us because we love him
(1 Cor 2:9).
