Artist Development Department, Walt Disney Feature Animation, 1995-1998.
The WDFA Artist Development Department in Burbank, CA, is responsible for the
design and implementation of educational training programs for all professional artists in
traditional animation disciplines and computer-generated animation, as well as for the creation of
continuing-education programs for all artists. In addition to ongoing training in the computer
animation field, the department runs a full-time, year-long training program for entry-level
artists, which is the equivalent of graduate-school study, in traditional and computer animation.
Continuing-education programs include lectures, demonstrations, and art classes.
Responsibilities:
Supervising and advising departmental staff of 22.
Consulting with three Training Managers on the development of curriculum,
administration, and implementation of all WDFA Artist Training Programs.
Supervising the planning and execution of all WDFA continuing-education events.
