I am currently a cable installer and maintainer ( 25lima ) in the army national guard and have been for the past 7 years. I specifically specialize in fiber optic cable installation, guidelines, termination, and splicing. I am also a specialist with cat-5 and cat-6 cable and can install terminate as well. i have around 2 and a half years of actual on the job daily training. i spent 14 months doing nothing but cable missions in Iraq in 2008 through 2009 and nothing but cable missions in Afghanistan for 11 months in 2011 through 2012. i am an extremely hard, dedicated, and motivated worker and i love doing my job for a living. Technical college graduate with 3 years in the welding and metal works service and repair industry. Hardworking and flexible. Installation Technician successful at developing unique troubleshooting techniques and providing quality sound installation services to customers. Accomplishments
Supervised an army cable team of 8 soldiers and 2 civilian L3 communications contractors on deployment in Iraq in 2008 and 2009. I also was a team leader and supervisor of 14 soldiers and 6 civilian contractors while on Deployment in Afghanistan for 11 months in 2011 through 2012. In Iraq we successfully completed over 150 cable missions and successfully completed over 115 cable missions while on deployment in Afghanistan in 2011 and 2012. In 3 months while in Iraq we completed 2 of the largest cable missions in the history of the army national guard which included over 12 thousand cat-5 minicom terminations that totaled to over 8 thousand miles of NIPR, SIPR, TSIPR, and coalition cable and ran over 3 thousand miles of various sizes of fiber optic cable and over a thousand fusion splices and around 4 thousand hot melt terminations.
Assisted in training over 40 soldiers and new service technicians over the past 7 years in the military.
