Adult Day Services Instructor
In this position I was responsible for a group of medically frail developmentally disabled clients. I handled clients who were non-verbal, wheelchair bound, urinary/fecal incontinent, unsteady gait, visually impaired, and those with dysphagia/difficulty swallowing/choking hazards.
I was promoted to the position of Pre-vocation Instructor, where I assisted higher functioning individuals who expressed a desire to work or maintain a job. These individuals were unable to be hired due to extensive developmental delays, but we provided them with a work like environment on site where they would complete basic work tasks and receive a paycheck.
