Summary of Qualifications

As a technologist with more than 13 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine, I have much knowledge of the principles, concepts and methodologies of nuclear medicine technology, as well as an excellent knowledge of anatomy, to perform a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic studies, ranging from the common studies, such as bone scans, renal scans and nuclear stress tests, to the uncommon procedures, such as Zevalin imaging and therapy, RBC mass, and MIBG scans. I am able to recognize the difference between normal and abnormal results and adverse effects of medications and radiation so as to determine causes or possible significance of abnormalities and to alter procedures or techniques to correct for these issues. I have an exceptional ability to work with patient abilities and limitations, having worked with a wide variety of patients, from the one day old premature infant to the 100+ year old, from the very thin to the obese, adapting and modifying procedures whenever and however necessary to obtain the best possible images for reading. In working as a cardiac nuclear medicine technologist, I have experience performing EKGs as well as knowledge of normal and abnormal EKG readings. I also have 3 years supervisory experience with small groups, as well as instructing students as they rotate through my clinical site. I have the ability to work independently, as required, but I am also a team player with an excellent ability to communicate both orally and in writing with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds. I have experience and familiarity with a wide variety of camera systems including: ADAC Vertex, Vertex Plus, Epic, Argus and Genesis; Siemens Orbiter, E-cam, Signature and Pet/CT; Trionix Biad; and GE Starcam.
