Management of Infectious Disease R&D Group

Successfully managed early New Product Development teams working on two new in-

clinic assays (pipeline products) for canine and feline infectious diseases.

Responsible for creating Project Charter, moving the Project from Phase 1 (Early

Research/Concept) to Phase 4 (Development), conducting Technical Meetings and Core

Team Meetings. Responsibilities included Project management, interactions with Regulatory,

Operations, QA and Marketing. Supervised a team of one Scientist and four Research

Associates.

SENIOR SCIENTIST AND GROUP LEADER January 1998 to June 2002

Management of Molecular and Immunodiagnostic Assay Groups

- Responsible for research and development of new immunoassays and PCR Assays for

Heska Diagnostic Laboratory.

- Supervised a group of five Scientists (including two Ph.D. Scientists).

- Designed, developed, and evaluated molecular and immunodiagnostic assays for the

diagnosis of parasitic and infectious agents in companion animals.

- Primary person responsible for the management and coordination of projects under

aggressive time-lines.
