Job History / Details:

To Whom It May Concern,

I would like to be considered for a part time and or relief veterinary clinical services in the field of laboratory animal medicine (clinical and or regulatory). I am currently serving as an independent veterinary consultant with a concentration in laboratory animal medicine and non-human primate clinical management. I bring to any new position extensive experience as a Laboratory Animal professional in the following roles: Laboratory Animal Services Director, IACUC Attending Veterinarian, Clinician, and representative on several Environmental Health and Safety caveats (Biosafety, Radiation Safety, Chemical and Occupational Health and Safety). I have been responsible for oversight and implementation of a comprehensive animal care program for various species; management of administrative, husbandry, supervisory and veterinary staff; AAALAC- International animal care program preparation and site visit oversight with continued "Full Accreditation" on all (4) occasions; compliance with the requirements of regulatory agencies (USDA and PHS); training of research and animal care staff as it pertains to various animal use/handling techniques; consulting with researchers on their animal use protocols; direct clinical oversight to the research animals (NHP, pigs, dogs and rodents) and surgical support; teaching a Medical Illustration Course (678 Surgical Techniques) and Responsible Conduct of Research course; as well as submitting G20 grant submissions (two awarded and one currently under review). I have collaborated with various research investigators on their research projects that have resulted in abstract submissions, papers and grant proposals. I provided oversight in the implementation of a comprehensive enterprise wide software system that automated the business, census and IACUC management operations thereby streamlining processes and increasing efficiency among the administrative functions within the laboratory animal services and IACUC functional areas.

My past experiences have taught me the indispensability of a high-functioning team in effective communication. These factors are paramount in the dynamic environment of laboratory animal medicine but essential for a successful program. I know that I can serve as an asset to your organization. If you require further information or additional references I can be contacted at 706-***-**** or via email at abptpt@r.postjobfree.com.

Sincerely,

Nancy A. Rodriguez, D. V. M., DACLAM
