Operate Babcock and Wilcox 100-lbpsig boilers, three diesel driven cogens that produce
electricity for the courthouse and other buildings. Operate feed water pumps, oil and
condensate pumps, shifted strainers and fuel oil heaters. Perform feed water analysis and
add chemicals to boilers as needed. Put chillers on and off line determined by outside
temperatures, monitor boilers and associated equipment inside control room with automated
logic.
10/23/03-6/30/04, Stationary Engineer, N.J. Dept. of Transportation (Main Complex, Steam
Plant)
Operated two 80-lbpsig Foster Wheeler boilers and associated boiler equipment, force draft
blowers and induced draft, operated feed water/oil pumps, and chillers that were monitored
in the control room using the Medasis program. Did repairs on machinery as needed,
packed valves and opened and closed valves as needed, performed feed water testing, put
zeolites in and out of service, added brine to zeolites, added chemicals to boilers, and took
hourly readings on chillers and boilers in service.

Operated four 120-lbpsig boilers, maintained feed water pumps, DA tank, feed water
economizer, controlled water level in condensation tank, DA tank, shifted fuel oil heaters.put
in deactivated steam reducing station as needed. Took hourly readings, did steam plant
repairs as required, performed feed water analysis, pumped chemicals to boilers from
chemical tanks, monitored all boilers and associated equipment in steam plant control room.
