- Present: Employee, Dept. of
Marine Structure, Marintek, Norwegian University of Science and
Technology, Norway working on a Norwegian industrial project entitled
'Reliability-Based Design and Inspection Planning of Marine
Structures'. Due to the development and improvements in technology,
current design code based on deterministic methods usually restricts
its application. In certain cases when a new design falls outside the
scope of existing codes, reliability analysis has been applied ad-hoc
to establish design criteria. This project concerns the application of
reliability method to marine structural fatigue design guideline and
inspection and repair effect is also included.
Aug.1994
- Dec. 1995: Senior Engineer, Bohai Offshore Oil Corporation,
China Finished an industrial project entitled 'Economic Benefits
Analysis and Optimal Design of Offshore Structural Inspection and
Repair'. It mainly deals with the practical problem of how to keep
balance between economics and structural safety. Optimized inspection
planning and repair strategy of offshore structures are developed.

inspection preparation and field inspection of No: 8 Production
