I am immediately available and willing to go just about anywhere for a good pay rate (contracting) or suitable salary (direct hire). Most of my software development experience has been with embedded applications. My last six jobs involved situations where the OEM or prime contractor forced their suppliers to get ISO certification or CMMI qualification. So the suppliers needed someone like me to come in and help them achieve that goal. POSITION: I have been working in a fairly narrow market niche preparing software development projects for ISO certification or CMMI qualification (in addition to the usual responsibilities of a quality engineer). I would like to move in to a growing organization where I can apply all of my skills and experience. QUALIFICATIONS: Software Development 23 years Quality Assurance & Process Improvement 11 years Project Management 5 years
SKILLS:
Compliance auditing Data analysis and metrics Configuration management
STRENGTHS:
Planning and organization Knowledge of CMMI and ISO standards Subcontract surveillance and off-shore development coordination Database construction and development tools Root Cause investigation Process improvement
BACKGROUND:
Major technology firms: Motorola 11 years Lockheed Martin 6 years Lucent Technologies 1 year as a direct employee or contractor on a wide range of engineering applications. MARKET EXPERIENCE: Automotive - 6 years Aerospace/Defense - 7 years Cellular-Telecomm - 9 years Medical - 1 year
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
A considerable number of my assignments involved salvaging quality assurance or process improvement activities that were in trouble with senior management and I was called on to refocus those efforts to the organizations immediate goals and objectives by using lean and risk based approaches. My ability to negotiate or define and implement innovative solutions has saved my employers significant time and money and marked my career with many successes. Previous employers recognized my dedicated hard work, motivation for achieving objectives, focus on value added activities, willingness to tackle tough jobs and leadership by example. I have been making $70-75 an hour as a contractor. Thank you very much for considering me.

SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Spearheaded effort to resolve defects in a timely manner, enabling new product launch on schedule. Defects were not addressed expeditiously. Managed problem analysis to reduce cycle time. Implemented accurate metrics to objectively report the true situation. Managed the defect backlog to meet product launch criteria and schedule.
Improved process to release software into production facilities, reducing installation rework cost by 50%. Unvalidated and uncontrolled software releases often had problems only discovered at the start of production. Established quality gate process for quickly verifying product software release readiness prior to introduction to production facilities. Reported quality indicators to satisfy ISO requirements. Drastically reduced software process failures.
Implemented technical peer reviews early in the project, identifying and correcting problems before testing. Interface issues were not coordinated with other teams. Managed internal technical reviews and tracked corrective action progress. Improved timeliness of problem resolution, prevented qualification problems and avoided additional test cycles.
Implemented internal audit program for software labs, causing reduced government surveillance. Computer laboratories operated without any monitoring of compliance with corporate procedures. Instituted new procedures and performed numerous audits in software laboratories. Improved audit reporting and corrective action caused a reduction in the level of monitoring by the government and better relations with government auditors.
Implemented recovery effort to restore confidence in Quality Assurance function. Quality assurance or process improvement activities were in trouble with senior management. Salvaged the situation by refocusing activities on value added tasks needed to satisfy the organizations immediate goals and objectives and using lean and risk based approaches.
