Present
Echelon (Nasdaq: ELON, www.echlon.com) develops smart meters and other smart grid devices and systems.
Substantially improved Echelon s order processing pipeline by acting as project architectural, engineering
and management lead to develop the smart-meter industry s first web-based dynamic product
configuration system. This system takes customer and company-internal inputs on a per order basis and
generates product configuration files used in manufacturing and first-article validation programs.
Coordinated across multiple functional groups. ASP.NET, ADO.NET, C#, T-SQL, Javascript, AJAX,
CSS, HTML, Web Services. Presented the system to senior management. Secured funding for subsequent
phases.
Responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing test and configuration libraries that handle
device-specific operations including loading embedded Linux firmware. Wrote requirements and
functional specification documents. Coordinated across product hardware and software engineering
groups to optimize functions for use by manufacturing test. These C#/.NET libraries are integrated by test
engineers into National Instruments TestStand sequence scripts and run on the factory floor in China.
Architected and implemented a next-generation manufacturing test framework in .NET/C# that allows for
rapid integration of test cases and reliable execution in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Delivered a robust solution on time.
Lead architect and software developer on four simultaneous C#/.NET systems, based on the above
framework, to test, load firmware, and configure product PCBAs. Developed a communication protocol in
C for use between test software and embedded test controllers. Delivered solution on time.

validated at the Stanford University School of Medicine and popularized by JITSR co-founder, Fred Luskin, Ph.D.,
through his book Stress Free for Good (Harper San Francisco, 2005).I conceptualized this product and put together
a core management team. As chief technologist, I designed and wrote the software based on ASP.NET, ADO.NET,
C#, Syncfusion controls, HTML, XML, AJAX, Web Services, CSS, Javascript, Flash, T-SQL, and stored
procedures. JITSR was used in a research project with 200 students at Stanford University.

Lead Architect, Project Manager and Lead Programmer (on-going since 1998) for corporate-wide
training & development and certification web applications and Windows desktop electronic billing
applications for the legal department of McKesson (Fortune 35 company). Designed and implemented
applications using HTML, Javascript, Perl & PHP CGI, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Microsoft
Active Server Pages (ASP.NET), Microsoft Active Data Objects (ADO.NET), Microsoft Visual Studio .NET,
C#, CSS, Visual Basic, secure digital certificates, and asymmetric encryption (GPG).
Senior Software Engineer for ZMeters, Inc. (www.zmeters.com) (2006-2007) as a core member of a team
that designed and built a Windows application in C# and .NET using Syncfusion controls for diagramming,
displaying data in grids and charts, and communicating via Bluetooth to a hardware meter for a power
distribution analysis system. Was a key contributor to the implementation design and decisions, and was
instrumental in taking the project from start to initial product completion. Developed test code for
TestComplete.
Project Manager, Software Engineer for Pandora Data Systems (2005-2006), for a 2nd generation hospital
drug dispersion and diversion reporting application. Managed a team of four programmers, three test
technicians and coordinated with the sales and marketing team. Took a stalled development effort and
successfully brought the product to market. Developed user interface code using Visual Studio, C# and
Infragistics controls. Developed T-SQL code for the SQL Server side of the application including database
version conversion scripts. Also developed a Flash-based front-end selector that launched a combination of
installers depending on the user s needs.

pre- and post-sales situations.
Gained extensive BSD and System V Unix experience including writing and implementing device drivers,
application tuning and parallelization, virtual memory tuning, file system performance tuning. Most
applications involved major relational database management systems such as Oracle, Sybase, and Informix.
Wrote technical proposals detailing how to integrate Sequent systems into existing and new applications.
Designed and implemented numerous benchmarks to prove system and application performance.
