Program Manager

Practice Innovation and Enablement (PI&E), December 1997September

1999.

I led a large effort in defining and running the eCommerce Village at a

worldwide meet of Andersen Consultings key leadership (4000 attendees) with

the theme Lead the eFuture. The effort involved defining the theme,

attracting proposals for the Village, filtering proposals based on technical

eCommerce content similar to organizing a technical conference. This Village

was first of its kind within the Firm and was influential in accelerating the

take-up of eCommerce and stimulating selling eCommerce engagements within

Andersen Consulting.

I assisted and/or led several initiatives at the Program/Project

management level in PI&E. These included communicating vision and goals,

defining quality and metrics, budget processes, work plans, annual priority

setting process. Many of these initiatives helped the new PI&E group reach a

steady state and created an infrastructure to enable growth in the desired

direction.

1997.

I led a project to define KM processes in the Business Integration (BI)

Support for CollAborative DEvelopment (Cascade) project whose mission is to

research collaborative Internet technologies that support business integration

teams that are geographically dispersed. I led the complete lifecycle of this

project including requirements analysis, proposal, development & testing,

budget and resources. This system was tested live between Sophia Antipolis in

France, Chicago and Manila in the Philippines.

Technologies used/developed/integrated include workflow management, context-

rich folders, application sharing, electronic yellow pages and discussions,

HTML, C++, TCP/IP, Netware/NT networks.

The system and the report became a part of the internal Knowledge Management

system and have been widely accessed and used in many projects involving

dispersed teams across Andersen Consulting.

Other Software Development Experience: Graph Layout and Graphical User

Interface Design, January 1991December 1994.

I defined, designed, and implemented a prototype for automated and interactive

graph layout. I optimized the performance iteratively yielding an order of

magnitude performance improvement. I supervised and directed members of the

research team to transfer this technology from prototype to a product-level

implementation in C++. The resulting system provides support for incremental
