Technical Manager, Federal Working Group, U.S. Census Bureau, January 2010 " September 2010 I worked as a contractor for the U.S. Census Bureau, Field Division, Geographic Support Branch as a liaison and project coordinator between the Census Bureau Headquarters' Geography Division, Field Division, and the Regional Field Offices' Geography sections, supporting operations facilitating Census 2010. I compiled and distributed daily, weekly, and monthly project status reports for management, and efficiently followed up on their requests for more information. I wrote, edited, revised, and published detailed technical memoranda to the Field Offices to collect information, describe new projects and procedures, and distribute other information. I made observational visits to Field Offices' Geography sections to observe staff project performance, staff performance, and provided helpful feedback and recommendations.

December 2007 " December 2009 I worked as part of a contracted company for the U.S. Census Bureau, Geography Division making updates, changes, corrections, and additions to the national the Master Address File-Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF-TIGER) database of roads, boundaries, and geographic areas using the intranet-based online GIS Geographic Acquis-based Topological Real-time Editing System, or GATRES. Due to my high levels of attention to detail and thoroughness, I frequently performed as Quality Control on various projects which updated geographic boundaries, geographic areas, and GIS map production, including the Paper Boundary Annexation Survey (BAS) projects, the Digital BAS projects, and the Boundary Review and Repair Project (BRRP). I trained new employees on current projects at the time of their start, including the Intranetix project, the MAF-TIGER Accuracy Improvement Program, and the SIMPLE project.

GIS Intern, Wilson Energy, Wilson, NC, September 2006 " October 2007 I collected GPS coordinates and GIS data on City of Wilson light and utility poles for WilsonEnergy, assisting their creation of a complete city electrical system GIS database.
